the background

I'm always having to look for a suitable background to make portraits on the spot. This university professor of psychology was photographed at a snack area but I like how the lines converge behind him and the fact that it's monochromatic forming a contrast where the subject stands out.

現場に行くとまずどこを背景にしようかと考える。これは大学構内にあった休憩所の一部分で背景の線とモノクロなトーンが気に入って撮影したものだが結果的に被写体（色、柔らかさ、温かみ）と背景（無機質、硬さ、冷たさ）のコントラストが面白いと思う。
